Why I’m leaving GVO
Today I started the process of disassociating myself from GVO/Kiosk web-hosting.
This was not an easy decision to make, as I have been a platinum member therefor some time and have multiple domains listed with them. And it was only in November that I renewed my annual platinum membership.
The truth is that I have been uncomfortable about their direction since they decided to become GVO. And since that time I have had a series of downtime related incidents that have caused me to look elsewhere.
I have never actively marketed GVO or Kiosk as a business opportunity, because frankly, I knew that the average punter could get cheaper hosting elsewhere. Occasionally I recommended Kiosk’s services to people who were serious about having multiple domains.
Briefly I toyed with the idea of becoming a webhosting reseller at a local level, but while I was toying with that idea, I began to have some serious service issues with GVO.
Some people (particularly MLM heavy hitters) love GVO, I have no argument with them. I have my MLM residual income streams that I find easier to promote naturally as part of my business and quite frankly, I could never really see how I could fit GVO neatly into my business.
I would have probably stayed with GVO, it it weren’t for some serious downtime issues I’ve had over the past week. It is a hassle to change hosting providers, particularly for somebody like me with seven active websites and a dozen or so more sitting on the server.
But matters came to a head and quite a few business associates pointed me in the direction of Host Gator which sells incredibly affordable web-hosting packages from as little as $4.95.
I switched.

GREAT information ALWAYS coming from a GREAT people HELPER! I AM a student of Mark, I have been out of touch with Mark since his INCIDENT, and my own moving about , BUT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANYONE wanting GREAT information about ONLINE marketing to LISTEN to Mark Hodgetts! From William Combs affiliate marketer! And by the way I have ONLY been using Hostgator to build my wordpress blogs.
I never joined GVO because I never joined Kwoisk. Altho I liked what they offered and often considered it. i just never took the plung. Been on the net a long time. I stay away from launches for all the reasons you talked about. What ever happened to quality. People creating a keeping a product a quality product. On another note I’m loving your new breakingfreetraffic.com income opportunity. I joined to find a breath of fresh air and I love how you have combined the different systems that have existed over the years like MPAM. Do miss MPAM myself I was a member some years ago. The 3 step system is just genius. I give you 5 stars. Anyone who wants something that will work without having to dish out rediculous amounts of cash just should try this. Everyone needs an autoresponder. Everyone needs a program to create up front cash for funding their business and the traffic system is also free of charge. Way to go. I wish I knew how to give you more credit for this its way above 5 stars lol
Thank you for your comments. I too loved MPAM and was sorry to learn of its demise. I have even more planned for Break free Traffic. Watch this space
Hey Billy great to hear from you. I thought that I must have disenchanted you somewhere along the line. Feel free to drop me a line at any time
Sorry to hear about your problem brother. I have 6 sites in there with no downtime, and more to come. Unfortunately, not everything goes well for everyone and sometimes you just gotta part and I personally wish you good luck.. Check into ATS also. I hear people are happy using them as well.
I have had nothing but problems with GVO! They SUCK…big time. Nothing has worked. Not the auto-responder, not the conference center, not the downtime annoying witness, and to boot the emails on the server constantly hang for days, and you have to contact GVO support all the time. And me server has been hacked twice. In addition they Joel Therian and crew have been redirecting all email recipients away from reps to GVO, and thus bypassing their reps. That’s stealling in my book! Yes, from my private collected lists, each and ever email has a link to GVO, not the rep/gvo distributor’s site!!! Watch out, and stay away form GVO! Bad news review, and GVO is a total scam.
I understand what you’re saying. I have to admit that after i decided to leave, I found it way too hard to disentangle myself completely. Since then things have settled down
