The Free Advertising Lie
I’m probably going to upset a few people with this – some of them I regard as friends, but it is time to start calling spades spades.
There are a number of gurus who will tell you that don’t you have to pay to advertise and then they’ll give you a list of “free: resources to use. Invariably those links contain Traffic Exchanges, Safelists, Forums, FFA sites etc. These sites do work – when you know what you’re doing and in some ways they’re a great way to get your feet wet and test your copy writing skills, BUT, there is a trap contained within these methods and the trap is simply TIME.
Time is worth money and while you’re relentlessly pursuing these “Free” resources, you are losing time that could be better spent elsewhere.
I’ve put together a free report for my subscribers which details a more balanced approach to advertising.
To access it all you need to do is subscribe to my newsletter (and I’ll regularly give you a host of other gifts as well)
The subscription form is to the right of this page

I agree. There are no free lunches anymore. In this massively connected world where information flows freely (and quickly) anything “advantage” immediately gets shared amongst the community and thus doesn’t become an advantage.
The only way to truly have an advantage with good, creative ideas. Keep them fresh, and different, and you will invariably succeed.
